Yet in many ways, I am actually a perfect candidate for a research paper due to my age, my job and my education.My experiences with research papers over the years and the information I have amassed over my career in education suggest that adolescents and adults may need additional opportunities to learn about adolescent development topics and other important topics of importance to society at large. This is not to say that adults should take up the subject of adolescence in their spare time. However, there are a number of support systems available to them and research paper writing is one of them. As a result, many ed ucators and researchers recommend it as a possibility to write a research paper that can serve as a supplement to other work that would otherwise be presented in a class or dissertation defense.During my doctoral program in early childhood and secondary education, a professor who specializes in early childhood issues recommended that I write a research paper about parenting, child's brain development and what he called cognitive behavioral therapy. As a result, I was grateful to be given an assignment that gave me the opportunity to learn about the nuances of these topics. That experience motivated me to pursue my doctorate in educational psychology. I continue to write research papers on various topics related to child development and parenting, parenting strategies, child psychopathology, adult psychopathology, child trauma, adolescence, child psychology, and the role of parenti ng in adolescent health.Psychologists today continue to look for information sources on child development topics and parenting practices. A recent survey indicated that more than 80 percent of pediatricians are recommending that parents spend some time each week writing down questions to ask their children regarding developmental, psychological and behavioral issues. In addition, the American Academy of Pediatrics recently announced its support for parenting programs designed to enhance child development. More than three million parents now utilize the techniques of CBT, behavior modification and educational strategies to help their children learn how to deal with stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias, and other negative behaviors.The American Academy of Pediatrics has released a new pediatrician's baby book that includes questions for parents and what the new set of pediatricians assistants recommend parents ask their infants and toddlers. By using such materials, parents ca n learn what children need to know to be safe and secure during the early years.Peer bullying is just one of the many topics that today's parents need to address. Surveys indicate that most parents do not recognize the signs of peer bullying and have difficulty preventing or recognizing its effects. Unfortunately, they do not think that this behavior is a problem that warrants addressing. Fortunately, research has proven that it is, in fact, an issue that should be addressed to the fullest extent possible by families, schools, social workers, teachers, parents, and everyone else involved in the prevention of adolescent peer bullying.There are many forums where parents can discuss various issues relating to adolescent development topics and parenting, and a research paper is one of the most helpful sources of information. An example of this could be when a medical professional suggests that parents might benefit from looking into issues relating to parenting and developmental topics. It is important to remember that writing a research paper is a great way to help other people gain insight into their lives and to educate and train themselves about certain topics. What better way to achieve that goal than through the use of the written word?
